The Office of Graduate and Post-Doctoral Affairs (OGPA) offers students that are Teaching and Research Assistants, a parental event accommodation, which consists of eight weeks of funding coverage. That coverage can start up to one week before the expected event and no more than eight weeks afterward.

In order to receive this accommodation, you must first seek the approval of your Director of Graduate Studies who will then endorse the request to the Graduate School.  The GSAS will work with OGPA and your department to set up the funding while your department will work to find a replacement TA if needed. If you have questions or concerns, please direct those to your Director of Graduate Studies.
